UV Invisible ink
UV fluorescent ink is made by adding the corresponding visible fluorescent compound to the ink. Its anti-counterfeiting feature is: the printed matter is invisible under ordinary light, and it can emit gleaming fluorescence under ultraviolet light. There are invisible and tangible UV fluorescent inks. The special ink that is excited by ultraviolet light (200-400nm) to emit visible light (400-800nm) is called ultraviolet fluorescent ink. According to the excitation wavelength, it is divided into short wave and long wave. The excitation wavelength of 254nm is called short-wave ultraviolet fluorescent ink, and the excitation wavelength of 365nm is called long-wave ultraviolet fluorescent ink. According to the color change, it is divided into three types: colorless, colored, and discolored. Colorless can display red, yellow, green, Blue and other colors; colored can make the original color bright; color change can make one color into another color.
Two characteristic types
1. Invisible ultraviolet fluorescent ink: The material used is invisible, and the printing process is simple. The ink prints invisible patterns or texts in the UV irradiation factory. Shows clear and bright fluorescent patterns. Colorful. The anti-counterfeiting detection is convenient, as long as there is an ultraviolet light source or a currency detector. Since the invisible fluorescent ink is invisible or colorless, it is invisible to the naked eye during printing, that is, without any machine-recognized tracking mark. Therefore, overprinting is more difficult, but this kind of anti-counterfeiting and concealment is better, and the anti-counterfeiting force is stronger. Most domestic medical packaging uses this kind of invisible fluorescent ink.
2. Tangible ultraviolet fluorescent ink: the material used is tangible fluorescent ink, the printing process is simple, the registration is accurate, and the printing effect is the same as that of ordinary ink, but under ultraviolet light, the printed matter shows abnormal brightness. At this time, it can be distinguished For ordinary ink.
Variety of colors
Long wave: none-yellow, orange, red, yellow-green, emerald green, grass green, dark green, emerald blue, royal blue, black, white;
Red-orange, red-red, green-grass green, blue-grass green, orange-red, yellow-red, black-red, green-red,
Blue-red, orange-orange, blue-green, yellow-yellow, blue-blue, green-yellow-green;
Shortwave: none-yellow, orange, red, green;
Double wave: long wave red-short wave green;
Long wave blue-short wave red, short wave yellow, short wave orange, short wave green;
Long wave grass green-short wave yellow, short wave orange, short wave red.
Application principle
Ultraviolet fluorescent ink is a luminous material, a substance capable of emitting light. One peculiar feature is that the substance absorbs the energy of solar radiation and stores it under the sunlight. It is manifested in the form of heat, or photochemical reaction occurs, or energy is emitted in the form of visible light. The absorbed radiant energy has a shorter wavelength than the emitted energy. People call the phenomenon of absorbing different colors of light and then emitting it as fluorescence. The phenomenon of luminescence in a dark environment after absorbing light is called phosphorescence. The difference between the two is that phosphorescence absorbs natural light or artificial light and emits light in a dark environment after the light is removed, while fluorescence can only emit light in the presence of light after absorbing light. Fluorescent ink can also emit light in the presence of "luminous" or purple light. But it does not emit light in the dark without light. Fluorescent ink can not only express its own color, but also has the ability to absorb light and change the light intensity, so that the color it displays has a stronger light intensity, but the hue (or color) does not change.
Ordinary inks or dyes display colors by reflecting light, and the wavelength and output energy of each ink color are also different. For example, red light reflects red and absorbs other colors. The fluorescent red not only has partially reflected red, but also converts other colors (green, blue, and purple) into red wavelengths and emits red, so the color seems to be radiated from the inside of the object. It is this luminous property that makes this ink called a fluorescent ink. Printers using fluorescent inks for printing can obtain 4 times the brightness and visibility of ordinary inks. Fluorescent ink appears very bright in dim light, such as dusk and dawn.
Scope of application
Currency, bills, cards, cigarettes, alcohol, medicines, cosmetics labels, packaging, instructions and other printed matter with high anti-counterfeiting requirements.
Printing method
1. Suitable for any printing method: offset printing, UV offset printing, embossing, UV flexo, screen printing, UV screen printing, water-based screen printing, pad printing, gravure, spraying, stamp ink;
2. Screen printing can be used for paper, plastic, nylon, ABS, PET, PP, metal, glass, water-based, UV and other inks. 300-350 mesh screen is recommended for screen printing.
Precautions
1. Please use a new ink roller and a new printing plate, or thoroughly clean the old ink roller and printing plate, (offset ink roller can be cleaned with reducing agent), especially when printing colorless fluorescent ink, where there is a very small amount of colored The ink may color the colorless fluorescent ink and affect the invisible effect.
2. The effect of this ink printed on different materials is slightly different:
A. Non-fluorescent paper: The paper is slightly yellow, does not develop color under fluorescent lights, and does not add any whitening chemicals during the papermaking process. It is environmentally friendly paper. This paper is used in renminbi, invoices, and certificates issued by national institutions in Europe, the United States and my country.
B. Plastic materials that do not contain whitening chemicals, such as cards and packaging bags.
C. Ordinary fluorescent paper, white in appearance. In the papermaking process, certain chemicals are added to the pulp in order to whiten the paper, and it will show blue under long-wave ultraviolet fluorescent lamps. The fluorescence effect after printing is not very satisfactory, and this kind of paper is now commonly used in Asia. In order to make the fluorescent effect better: a. Use high-concentration fluorescent ink for printing; b. You can print a layer of colorless fluorescent black ink on the surface of the paper. It is better to use the two at the same time.
D. Paper coated with a certain chemical on the surface. This chemical may chemically react with fluorescent ink, causing the fluorescent effect to slowly disappear. Such as: thermal paper, chemical change paper.
E. The dual-band ink should be printed on non-fluorescent paper or plastic, and there is no dual-band fluorescence effect when printed on fluorescent materials.
F. Colorless fluorescent black must be printed on the fluorescent material to see the fluorescent black effect.
3. The colorless fluorescent ink is not absolutely colorless or absolutely no imprinting. On pure white paper, even if a completely colorless and transparent varnish is printed, there will be visual differences due to the different refraction and reflection coefficients of the paper and varnish. In order to achieve a better invisible effect, pay attention to the following points when printing:
A. Printed on rough, water-absorbent, yellowish paper;
B. Printed next to line text, etc.;
C. Apply varnish or film on the surface of the printed matter;
D. The silk screen is thinner, and the offset printing is thinner.
